Style Theory was started to solve the problem of having a bursting wardrobe but with nothing to wear. Since they started, the founder, Raena Lim, realised that this journey they was bigger than a need for new clothes. Her shopping habits were contributing to a larger environmental impact and it made her think about how important it is for them to share the message of sustainable fashion to all women so that they can make informed choices about how we choose to shop. If you love fashion, if you love the feeling of something new to wear every day or if you care about fashion sustainability, Style Theory is what you need.

As a child, the founder would stand by the windows when it starts raining. She would take deep breaths and smell the scent of raindrops hitting the ground. That fresh smell. Till now that same scents always bring me back to the time when I was a young kid growing up in the west side of Singapore.  She started buying candles not long after she got married but never bothered to find out about what it was made of; if it was clean burning. Only when she started to venture into the business that she learnt so much more about the different type organic wax to work with, even to the kind of wicks. When I finally decided (read procrastinate) to sign up for a candle making class, it was end of 2017. The founder got my teenage girls to join in and thought it would be so cool to start a small business with them.  So, for that, she dedicate her passion to 5Luxe Scents Co. to her daughters, Sarah & Qistina. She want them to know – it’s never too late, or early, to start something you love.
